After hours and hours of editing, I’m finally able to show you my photos from my amazing and too short visit to New York! The thing is, I was planning to make only one NYC photo diary but I didn’t count on having that many photos in the end… and call me silly but I really want to show them all to you so it will have to be split in 3 separate posts.
I hope you won’t get bored of them, but I really have to share with you the raw beauty of this city!
Many people tell me Paris is much more “beautiful” or “aesthetic” and I agree on a conventional level, but I actually think that if you pay closer attention to things we usually overlook then New York has a much more exciting beauty to offer <3
Don’t get me wrong, Paris still takes my breath away and always will, but New York excites me :)
Anyways, that’s what I want to transmit to you with these photos.
Today’s post includes the photos I took on the first 3 days:
DAY 1
We arrived around midday to the Airport so we actually got to our super apartment at around 3pm. Fashion Week had already started but since it would turn dark pretty soon we decided to skip the Street Style and go for a walk at Central Park which was beautifully covered with snow and then get lost a bit in the main avenues to finish at Times Squre which happened to be just 2 blocks away from where we were staying.
DAY 2
Got up super early to go shoot the Derek Lam and DKNY Street Style, went for a walk at High Line park and finished the day early since we could just not handle the cold, so we decided to go grocery shopping and make an amazing and romantic dinner at the apartment ;)
DAY 3
Once again, woke up early to go shoot some Street Style at Tommy Hilfiger‘s show. We then went to Central Park to shoot my look (don’t think I’ll ever show you those photos, since I looked terrible) and to actually get to play a bit in the snow and enjoy the beautiful day as cold as it was.
Then out of the blue, we decided to go to Brooklyn Bridge which I didn’t know yet, and although we wanted to pass the rest of the day in Brooklyn we finally didn’t since it’d turn dark pretty soon so we walked back into Manhattan and arrived at Jack’s Wife Freda (super cute and cozy place) were we had some really nice comfort food.
It was so difficult to brave out into the cold again, but once we did it, we felt like we could handle doing something more so we went to the Empire State (big mistake since we had to wait 2h+ to go up) where the view was absolutely perfect.
I really hope you do enjoy the photos! Specially since I’m not so eloquent when telling about our days there ^^
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
