So as promised on the Kenzo Backstage post, here are my Kenzo Runway shots from the AW15 collection presentation.
The show took place at huge venue on the outskirts of Paris, and had an incredible production, signature of the French/Japanese label.
The room entirely dark except from the limelight and the reflection coming from the humongous moving panels that did their own show while the models walked.
The collection was full of colors and of course bold prints, applied to statement outwear garments such as ponchos, anoraks, biker jackets and others.
The accessories (sunglasses, bags, socks, hats) had a sportive vibe to them, while the shoes kept a slight touch of glamour with their python motif.
This is in no way a collection for the timid; these are pieces you can recognize a mile away and that will get the wearer lots of attention… pretty much like all Kenzo’s collections under the talented duo: Humberto Leon and Carol Lim.
I personally loved it… I don’t think I could possibly pull off a complete look but definitely mix some of the pieces with a more toned down ensemble.
What did you like and not like of this collection?
