Happy 14 of July you guys!

Chic 70s look shot in Parc de Bagatelle Ambitieuse Paris

Today after what feels like a decade long, I have a new outfit post to share with you…

I’m gonna come clean as to why it has been so long, you will probably think I’m silly but I’m sure you’ll be able to relate.

The thing is that I’ve recently put on quite a bit of weight and it has certainly shaken my confidence; I am aware that I’m not overweight, but I feel the difference and I don’t love it.*

So even though I took these photos a while back (already having put on the extra pounds), and actually having such a fun time shooting them, when I finally became “aware” of my change I was just dreading to work on them and see how I looked…

But today, having a few free hours to spare I finally got the courage to face them and ended up loving how they turned out!

As I was mentioning, it was actually lots of fun to take them. Flo and I decided to enjoy the beautiful weather at the Parc de Bagatelle, and I was wearing my brand new hat which made me feel like a star of the Hollywood golden era paired with blue flared jeans that gave a cool 70s look… I felt like a million bucks.

So once we got there we decided we had to take some photos taking advantage of all the pretty elements that place had to offer (yeah we went a bit camera crazy).

The fact that I like them brings back a little confidence and motivation to shoot new outfit posts.

I think I used work as a shield; focusing more on my photography trying to hide behind the lens, and neglecting the blog as a result.

But although photography is certainly my biggest passion, I do love sharing with you my very personal take on fashion and I don’t think I’m ready to stop just yet :)

Sometimes being a “fashion blogger” can play games with your head; making it difficult not to compare myself to other bloggers that look like models… but thankfully I have a husband that reminds me how beautiful I am in my own way <3

So what about you, have you ever felt the pressure of fitting into a certain beauty standard while trying to pursue fashion blogging?

Hope you’ll like the photos!

I’m wearing:

Hat & Jeans – H&M // Shirt & Heels – Zara // Sunnies – Via Vanilla // Handbag – Kenzo

These pictures are lovely and you look beautiful! I completely understand when you talk about fashion bloggers, I always find myself comparing myself to other bloggers, once you start it’s difficult to get back into sharing pictures of yourself because you can’t help but judge your pictures (that’s how I felt, anyway), saying that, you truly do look lovely, I hope you share more outfit pictures soon, and I hope you realize that in any case you are more than your weight!x

Thank you so much for your lovely words Holly! (And for taking the time to read my thoughts)… it is always reassuring to know that we’re not alone in feeling a certain way :) I’m really happy with these photos so I will always come back to it whenever I feel like doubting myself again ^^
Thank you once again, you’re too sweet!

Leo este post y me siento 100% identificada. Hace dos meses aumenté 4 kilos, ¡4 kilos ! Viaje como una loca por el mundo, algo que siempre había querido hacer, y el precio por ello fueron unos kilos de más por probar comida de todas partes.
Me sentía gorda, triste, fea y demás.

Ok, this outfit is amazing. I’ve been searching for jeans like this for a year and you’ve had them all along! Second, I can definitely relate to the weight gain thing. I actually posted about my own case of weight gain (15 lbs) the other day, and showed off my lovely little muffin top in a post today. It’s weird. I’ve always been so tiny and not had any sort of curve, and even though I teach fitness classes for a living, I’ve managed to pack on all of this weight all the sudden. Guess I’m just getting old/some of it is muscle, but for real, the muffin top has shaken me and I don’t like it. Let’s stick together! We’ll figure it all out. And please keep posting photos. I love your professional work and your own outfits!
