So we open the PFW marathon with my Rochas and Balmain Street Style photos.
This PFW season, I did not have the time (or energy for the matter) to shoot the street style of as many shows I usually do. So I have TONS of runway posts to share with you and not so many from street style.***
The thing is, this season I covered multiple shows for Schön Magazine, and it got to the point that I had so many passes I could physically (literally) not cover them all! (I would have to split myself in half at times to be wherever I was needed).
It’s a funny thing, I’m the weirdest (or most annoying) person in the world. Let me explain; whenever I’m out shooting street style although I ADORE it, I’m always wishing I was inside, but then when I’m inside shooting the backstage and runway I’m wondering if I’m missing out on some really cool street style shots… so yeah pretty much I’m never pleased :/
I love doing both so much I would actually love to be able to split myself in many little Ylenias to be everywhere during Fashion Week.
I love to shoot it all, but if I rank by preference it’d go like this:
1. Street Style
2. Backstage (First looks)
4. Backstage (Beauty)
So yeah, street style is my ultimate favorite, because although it is rough, exhausting and not glamorous at all, it is also very exciting and leaves space for creativity and personal touch.
But then who doesn’t love to feel special by being one of the few who actually get to be inside and discover the collection first-hand?
I think my objective is to at least once in life (and hopefully before I turn 30) I get to shoot the backstage/runway of these shows: Christian Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Elie Saag, Givenchy, Balmain, Burberry Prorsum and Céline. Hahaha I don’t ask for much right?
Ahem, ok sorry I got a bit out of track, so this post is about the first two shows I actually did street style for. Honestly, not my best photos at all, but I figured it’d be worth showing them to you nonetheless.
Hope you like them!!!

*** Sorry cause I actually can tell from the stats and engagement, that you (my lovely readers) couldn’t care less about the runways/backstages I cover haha, but I really put a lot of love into shooting them and I might at least display my work in this, my little corner of the www ;)
