It’s been about 3 years and a half that I live in Paris.
One of the things I was most excited about was having access to cultural and fashion exhibitions that rarely if not ever arrive to Mexico.
So one of my objectives ever since I moved, is to make sure I go to as many Photography and Fashion Related presentations possible.
Unfortunately I haven’t gone to all of them…
Anyways, my other objective was to document all these visits in this blog since I know there are many people out there, who like me in the past, love fashion/photography and don’t necessarily live in Paris to be able to attend them.
This has turned out to be somewhat of a fiasco because at most exhibitions it is not allowed to take photos, which to be honest I just don’t get.
Nowadays with blogs, Instagram and others, people love to document their visits and share them with whole world! It’s free advertising/promotion and it only calls for more people to be interested about it. But they don’t see it that way I guess…
About a month ago I attended the Dries Van Noten Inspirations exhibition and I can safely tell that it is one of my favorites so far! It’s like an explosion of colors, vintage pieces and pop culture references!
What I loved most about it is that it felt is if we had entered Dries’ mind and saw all that was going on in there… (It felt like a Magic School Bus episode to me, if you know what I mean lol)
I came out of this exhibition, completely inspired, infatuated with a YSL Vintage Jacket and absolutely obsessed with Van Noten’s work!
And that is why I’m so exhited I actually get to share some photos from this exhibition with you! Although some friends have told me it wasn’t allowed to take photos (but no one said anything to me), so let’s just hope I don’t get in trouble for this!
If you happen to be in Paris any time before the 31st of August, SERIOUSLY go to this exhibition you won’t regret it! Find all the info here.
