As you may have seen in the photos from the previous post, we didn’t have a very traditional wedding…
Since we’re actually having two, we allowed ourselves to let this one be playful and laid-back. It was pretty much what my mom would call a “Boda de Dulce “ (Candy Wedding / Mariage Bonbon)
This day was the perfect excuse to indulge in every cutesy, girly, cliché-y thing I love about weddings!
I wanted a princess look (literally) so when I saw Jordan’s dress I knew it was THE ONE, and of course the Miu Miu glitter slippers were love at first sight <3
The make-up was as natural as possible highlighting the eyes. The nails were kitsch-y in bubblegum pink with golden glitter to match the shoes :)
The hair was the tricky part since I wanted a messy/natural (sort of bohemian) side-bun but as I was told by the hairstylist, since I have such thin hair it wouldn’t hold for even an hour; so I let her do her thing and I ended up looking like a gift box with ribbon and all…
I must admit I freaked out a bit in the beginning, it was just Too Literal but then I just thought “what the hell!” I wanted a princess look, I might as well take it all the way!
Some people have told me I looked more like I was doing my first communion than getting married which I can’t really refute, but I felt like a bride and that’s what matters to me ;)
And of course talking about the groom, how gorgeous did he look!?
I’m so lucky because he was down with the color palette and happily agreed to wear pink accessories… Flo with the pink bowtie = to die for!
PS. And just like dessert, the best is at the end… so tomorrow to finish the “Wedding Week” I will finally show you the photo shoot we did with Sophie (so exciting!)
** Thanks to my friend Camille for taking most of the photos in this wedding scrapbook <3
