The more I think of it, the more I agree that some words simply sound better in french.
Like “belle-soeur” {the equivalent to sister-in-law or in spanish cuñada} but it literally means “beautiful sister”.
Like with that translation, doesn’t it make you want to have a million beautiful sisters? :)
In english there’s this huge formality of it being “in law”, in spanish I don’t even know how to explain “cuñada” :s but in french it’s nice! I feel like it’s a good step to begin with. If you call your brother’s girlfriend / your boyfriend’s sister “belle-soeur” you’re somehow already being affectionate <3
